What does the Trust
do?
Cornwall Leukaemia Trust
was founded in 1981 to help patients with leukaemia and allied disorders
in Cornwall.
About 250 new patients
with these diseases are seen in the Haematology Department at Treliske Hospital
each year.
Without the support
of the Trust, this would not have been possible.
Where
does the Trust obtain its funds?
From the people of
Cornwall and elsewhere. All Leukaemia Trust income comes from donations,
bequests and investments.
Many local organisations,
relatives of past and present patients, schools and charities have supported
and continue to support us.
What are the Trust's
plans for the future?
The Trust will continue
to provide support for the Haematology and Oncology Department as long as
patients continue to suffer from leukaemia and other blood disorders.
Expansion plans for
the Haematology Unit will improve facilities for all such patients.
